Gary was a kind person with a gentle sense of humor and a playful spirit. He was easy to talk to and feel comfortable with; he was a terrific friend. Gary saw the world through the lens of his creativity and was generous with his friends, sharing his stories, his wisdom, and his skills with poetry. He was courageous in sharing his struggles and used his perspective to make us laugh, to support others, and explore life’s deeper questions.

He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
