Last September more than 300 guests helped us raise nearly $215,000 for Maybelle Center at our annual event, Hope in the Heart of Portland. This support went directly to helping our members access the services they need to nurture their mind, body, and spirit.

At the event, we recognized Jeff Yandle, former Maybelle Center director and board president, for his generous service to the Center and to our community.

Our emcee, Laural Porter from KGW-TV, helped us celebrate our 25th anniversary along with sharing a recent story she did on Maybelle Center for Community.

2017 Event Opportunities

We will be holding our annual fundraiser, Hope in the Heart of Portland, on Saturday, September 16 at 6pm at The Nines Hotel.

Our annual fundraiser is a fun and relaxed event that offers guests ample opportunities to enjoy the evening together over dinner while supporting the work of Maybelle Center. During the event, we will celebrate and honor those who have made a difference in the lives of our members and the Maybelle Center Community, educate our guests about the work we do, and raise funds through our live auction, Make a Difference paddle raise, and table games.

Our goals for this event are to:

  • Raise $225,000 which helps build community and connection for those living in the Old Town/Downtown Portland community
  • Increase awareness of Maybelle Center’s work by welcoming 400 attendees
  • Honor our supporters and volunteers for their dedication to our mission and vision
  • Lend a voice to the voiceless and tell their stories to our guests

Opportunities for Sponsors

  • Associate your brand with a nonprofit providing unique, unduplicated work in Portland—building connection and community among those living in Old Town and assisting individuals with challenges that could threaten their housing stability which can lead to homelessness.
  • Be part of supporting an organization that has been doing work in Portland for 26 years and continues to broaden its reach in an effort to build community for 500 individuals and lessen social isolation.
  • Share your brand and work with various audiences and demographics including 600 website visitors, 1,000 e-newsletter subscribers, 1,000 Facebook supporters and 400 event attendees.
